Central Nebraska Doula is committed to providing our clients with the absolute best services. To be able to serve more families, Central Nebraska Doula is currently expanding from a solo doula practice to Nebraska’s first doula agency. This will benefit our clients immensely. Our doulas will work as a team to be able to guarantee support from a doula you have met and formed a relationship with throughout your pregnancy.

 

With the launch of this agency, we will also be offering postpartum support services. Postpartum support is extremely valuable. Your postpartum doula will be available as long as you need her, to assist with your transition home and learning how to care for your new baby, as well as answering your questions about postpartum recovery. Your postpartum doula’s focus will be on the entire family and helping to make the household continue to run effectively.

 

No matter which service(s) you choose to receive, your Central Nebraska Doula has been trained by a reputable training organization and agrees to abide by standards of professionalism. Receiving services from a doula who has been trained is of utmost importance, as trained and certified doulas are required to follow certain guidelines. When selecting a doula who has not been trained or is no longer an active member of their organization, it is nearly impossible to file a grievance should services not be performed to your satisfaction.

 

Having been in this profession for years I have heard countless stories about other doulas. From not answering client’s phone calls during pregnancy or labor to leaving clients who make certain choices in the labor, even doulas acting out of scope by monitoring fetal heart tones, assessing cervical dilation, even intentionally delivering babies. These things are extremely concerning and you can rest assured a professional Central Nebraska Doula would not do anything that she has not been specifically trained to do.

 

We are not advocates or activists. We respect your ability to make choices, including changing your mind about things you had previously decided on having or not having. We will happily answer your questions but we will never speak to your care providers on your behalf. We also enjoy working with the many area care providers and strive to maintain a positive reputation and mutual respect with every member of your birth team.

 

A Central Nebraska Doula will never force her own opinions on you. We support our clients’ decisions. Whether you desire an un-medicated vaginal birth, an induced birth, a birth utilizing pain medication or other interventions, or a cesarean birth, we are happy to provide support to every woman utilizing our services. We do not believe there is only one best way to have a baby!

 

Central Nebraska Doula is extremely committed to our clients. Once you have signed our contract we guarantee availability, whether that is by phone to answer your questions during your pregnancy or joining you in labor, or assisting you with your postpartum needs. This is our career and we would never leave you without support when you need it most.

 

Also, because we are so passionate about elevating the perception of professional doulas, Central Nebraska Doula operates as a legal business.

 

One of the most unique things about Central Nebraska Doula is our Placenta Encapsulation process. Placenta Encapsulators in this area are few and far between. I am currently Nebraska’s ONLY trained Postpartum Placenta Specialist.

 

The thing that makes Central Nebraska Doula’s placenta services unique is as a Postpartum Placenta Specialist, I provide this service strictly in my clients’ homes. This has proven to be a valuable resource to new parents as I am able to assist them with their postpartum needs and answer their questions while I am there in their home.  At Central Nebraska Doula, placenta encapsulation is more than just a jar of pills; it is a service that allows families to feel comfortable and confident with their newborn.
